Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is a pictorial flowchart method used to illustrate, analyze and improve steps required to deliver a product or service by using a system of symbols to represent various work activities and information flows. Flowcharts are analyzed using Critical Path analysis and Process Reliability Modeling to determine effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability.
